On this episode, you'll hear from a young woman who’s passionate about helping others, especially minorities and the disadvantaged, Justine Zawatski. Justine is a program manager at Upwardly Global, a national non-profit, helping immigrant, refugee and asylee professionals rebuild their careers in the United States. There, she leads a team that serves job seekers by managing employment services, onboarding, events, partnerships, as well as the Career Pathways grant program. Her work involves building strategic relationships with local and national corporate and nonprofit partners, and doing outreach to grow the organization’s local community, employer and referral partners. Before Upwardly Global, she worked for SEEC, a progressive nonprofit agency providing workforce development strategies for transitioning youth and adults with disabilities.
