Show Notes

This episode features a young woman who is focused on environmental impact in a non-traditional way, Stephanie Piperno. Stephanie is the Trails Coalition Manager at the Washington Area Bicyclist Association. Thus far in her early career, she has moved from working with a government agency, the National Park Service, to working in a more corporate environment at REI, to now being here in the non-profit sector. Having earned her masters in sustainability management, she has shifted from focusing on corporate social responsibility to desiring to have a more direct impact by working for a mission-focused organization. Have a listen to hear about her thoughts on millennials' careers, the challenges in working to make corporations use their power for good, how she wants to use her skills to re-create public spaces, and more!
